Still life in reds and greens
I remember where I got everything.
I get very attached to the things.
The red and white tin pot came from my favorite junk shop that closed many years ago. Painting red is one of my favorite things to paint. Red sings.
The conversation is between the colors— the red apples, the red pot, the green apples, the green mug. The white cloth with its red tipping, like a sibling to the pot.
The mug has been broken. The apples have rotten. The pot is the same.
